This exceptional Kenyan washed coffee is produced by the Othaya Farmers Co-operative Society which consists of appr. 420 producers who have their own dry mill located in Gatuyaini. The dry mill also has its own cupping lab for quality analysis that is done by a qualified cupper to ensure proper marketing for the coffee's characteristics and of course – an honest and unbiased evaluation of the coffee.
The knick of Kenyan coffees from the Nyeri region is that they grow slowly, at high altitudes, producing super hard, dense beans. And with density of the bean also comes density of flavor! Add to this the specific red volcanic soil that is rich in phosphorus and we have coffee from »the heart of Kenya« that will leave you coming back for more. And more. And more.
