We took our wonderful washed Kenya Mahiga, an impressive coffee in its own right, and aged it in oak brandy barrels. For 4 weeks, the beans rested in the barrels, absorbing their rich oak-brandy aroma.
The result? A stunning melange of flavors: the bold kick of brandy-infused oak cutting through the fruity, juicy profile of a superb Kenyan fruit bomb.
Roasted light, this coffee shines as a filter brew. But as with any experiment, feel free to get creative with your brewing methods. (Cold brew, anyone?)
