After two years I’m still using this grinder every day, it’s really handy. The grinde size is constant and good for filter method. However, there is some problems with the 2024 model ; when you want tu use it manually, especially with médium to light roast around grind size 1, it’s really hard to keep the grinder in hand. There is no texture on the metal and the rubber around doesn’t helping at all, it’s slippery and you have to squizz really hard in your hand. Second thing is when you use it with the motor. Depending of the size of the coffee beans, it’s blocking in the chamber, often if you put more than 30g. It’s annoying because you have to pull out the grinder from it’s base and shake it. Still it’s the best option to have manual and electric grinder.
I love using my ARCO. It’s simple and efficient. Mostly I use the electrical version, sometimes the hand grinder. Both work as I had hoped for when I purchased it 4 years ago. Especially the multiple and detailed grind settings and ease of use of the dosing cup. The latter is magnetic, which is handy to put your dose in the portafilter. The only downside: cleaning is a bit clumsy. Best of all: it looks neat and sleek
What I like: a really good footprint. It's lovely and compact taking up little space on counter.
I find it grinds for espresso on a flair pro2 really well, and for. Rok. These are manual lever machine though and forgiving. Grind seems universals. Struggled with a lelit anna though.
What I don't like: it is noisy, like incredibly noisy. It's a high speed motor I get and it's grinding beans to espresso fine so yeah makes sense, but so noisy.
Retention is an issue.
As a hand grinder it's really good, but think the catch cup is a little less stable that way
It goes out of line when in stand sometimes.
I think it's as good as my 1zpresso JX but it's faster, and thats convenient.
Looks great, is compact, and works really well overall. The 2-in-1 option is awesome! The only downside is that sometimes the beans get stuck, and I have to give the grinder a little shake to get them moving again and finish grinding.
I love my Arco grinder!! Looks great, works great, and the 2-1 option is awesome! The hand grinder option is solid, just feels like quality in your hand. Case for traveling is also designed very well. I love the GS products :)
