I love my Goat Mug. I own the small version and will add the bigger one to my collection as well. The design is the selling point but the mug is also surprisingly durable. I tend to drop things but the mug is still absolutely leakproof. My mug has the hemp sleeve which is unsurprisingly a pain to clean but that was to be expected. The mug itself survived many dish washer cycles.
if you get the mug I'll advise you to get the real leather. the vegan leather began peeling of immediately. the metal clips bended out of shape after like two years, wich is okay but unfortunate that they don't really bent back after that.
the mug keeps warm nicely, in the cold days of the Netherlands my tea was still warm after half an hour (like outside of the house). the style is nice, I've gotten many compliments.
The mug itself is great and a lot of fun to use, has stood up really well after a couple of years of fairly regular use.
The faux leather material for the holder and strap though is of terrible quality, it started falling apart the first time I put the mug in it.
Customer service were great and quickly replaced it with a real leather holder which has stood up to the years, sadly, the real leather option no longer seems to be available (I have checked a few times wanting to buy more as gifts)
If you can find it with the regular leather I would say this is a 5 star, if you can only buy the faux leather option, I would sadly not recommend getting one.
This mug has so much potential!
Pros: I love to wear it with Renn Faire outfits or for some extra whimsy. It is pretty leak proof.
Cons: It doesn't hold temperature for very long. The faux leather holder began peeling immediately and is looking pretty ragged. I also changed out the clasps for rotating lobster clasps which make it much less likely to get tangled.
Overall: It's fun, but I do wish there were design tweaks.
Love it! It's leak proof and fits in the side pocket of my backpack unlike most coffee mugs/thermoses. Doesn't keep the liquid hot for long but that was not one of my requirements for the mug. I use it to take my coffee to go and drink it while on my way to work. The sleeve is starting to show some wear and tear after a few use of frequent use but that's to be expected. I'm a big fan!
It’s great I can wear it freely with my lace and The leather strap is becoming a holder of you are sitting and you want to put our Goat on the table. Just love it
LOVE my goat mug. It's gorgeous, does not leak, fits in the side pocket of my backpack which is it's biggest USP in my opinion as most coffee mugs don't fit. Doesn't keep the drink hot for long but that wasn't something I was looking for in a mug. I needed something to put my coffee in as I'm running out the door to drink on the go. The faux leather holder holds up pretty good, it does start to show some breakage now after a few years with regular use. Highly recommend!
It may be just my luck, but my mug leaks when I wear it on a strap. Which is a pity, because the design is amazing and leather holder is of decent quality. Can't use it though - no handle on the side means I need to either hold it in my hand all the time to avoid stains on my clothes. A bummer.
I love my Goat Mug! I use it every day walking the dog. I made a belt loop holder for it. it never leaked for about the first 4 years. then I broke the lid! stupid, my fault. I ordered a new lid to replace the broken one, sadly it has never been leak proof. but I bought a new mug to replace the stuffed one and use it now for my dog walking coffees. I will diffinatly buy a replacement if I break this one!
